Fort Fisher is not only a famous Civil War Historical Site and home to the Ft Fisher NC Aquarium, it hosts some awesome, year round, surf fishing opportunites combined with the excitment and convience of Off Road Vehicle (ORV) access.

What's Biting and WhenBlack Drum - April thru November (deeper holes can hold fish year round)Bluefish - March thru November (deeper holes can hold fish year round)Flounder - September, October, November ( Check with North Carolina WIldlife for Current Flounder Regulations)Red Drum - Year round with April thru November as prime months, Spanish Mackerel - Late May thru October (if its warm)Sea Mullet/Whiting - March thru October ( deeper holes can hold fish year round)Speckled Trout - Best months are from September through November. However South Eastern NC is noted for its year round trout fishing.
