What TO Bring
Some items that you should bring are:
1. Sunscreen (even if it is cloudy). We also sell UPF50+ sun shirts on our retail store in the apparel section.
2. Sun Glasses and lens wipes. The salt spray will coat your lenses.
3. A hat. If windy a baseball type cap works well. If you bring a wide brimmed hat, its recommend to bring one with a drawstring to keep your hat from blowing away.
4. Beach towel. While swimming where we are fishing is not allowed, you may want to take a quick dip to cool off. You may also catch a wave while landing a fish, especially if its a large drum.
5. Spare shirt for the ride home on hot days.
6. Cell Phone/camera
7. A cool damp washcloth in a plactic ziplock bag. It sure feels nice on you face on a hot day.
8. A small duffel to hold your personal items for your group. Individual small drawsting back packs work well too.
9. A cooler with ice to take your fish home if you decide to keep some for dinner. (unless using your food cooler, please leave the fish cooler in your vehicle).
10. Light rain Gear. The weather on the coast is unpredictable. I plan to fish unless conditions are unsafe or unfishable.
What NOT to Bring:
1. Weapons... Unless you are a SEAL, saltwater and sand are not friendly to firearms! I support everyones Constitutional Rights but for liablity purposes, please leave firearms secured at home.
2. Hard Liquior (we can discuss the bringing of beer during the booking process. It is not allowed at Ft. Fisher).
3. Large coolers... We will have limited space please restrict coolers to no larger than 48 qt.
